Exhibitor-Appointed Contractor (EAC) Guidelines

EAC Guidelines – Pre-Show

  • Badges: EACs are not authorized to have Exhibitor Badges.  
  • Clients: The EAC must provide Show Management, no later than April 24, 2024, the exhibitors who have retained them and the services to be performed. 
  • Indiana Convention Center: EAC must be registered and remain current and in good standing with Indiana Convention Center, and shall adhere to the regulations established by ICC and the Sweets & Snacks Expo regarding entering and exiting the convention center grounds and any work conducted at the show. 

EAC Guidelines – On-Site

  • Entrance to Center: Wristbands should be picked up in the Show Office. Under no conditions is EAC labor permitted on the show floor on Thursday, May 9 prior to 3:00pm.
  • Photography: EAC may photograph its own client booth(s) only. 
  • Promotion: EAC is prohibited from using the SSE name, logo or any indicia for the purpose of promoting or marketing its own activities. 
  • Solicitation: The EAC shall not solicit business on the Show floor. 
  • Sub-Contractors: The EAC is liable and responsible for the actions and activities of any of its sub-contractors. 
  • Supervisor:  Provide Show Management with the on-site supervisor and their cell phone number (the on-site representative should have a copy of the EAC Agreement & the COI on their cell phone). 
  • SPECIAL NOTE:  Show exhibitors give away samples at show close and EAC personnel may accept them.  There can be no solicitation for samples by EAC personnel at any time.

Work Rules & Regulations

  • Attire: EAC personnel must be dressed in suitable attire at all times.  
  • Electrical: EACs are responsible for turning on their breakers for booth power. McCormick Place will turn on power one hour prior to show opening.  
  • Equipment: Containers, jockey boxes, ladders and other equipment must be removed from the show aisles while aisle carpeting and flooring are being installed and/or removed. 
  • Freeman Costs: EAC will share with Freeman all reasonable costs incurred in connection with the EAC operation, including overtime pay for stewards, security if necessary, and restoration of the exhibit hall to its initial condition. 
  • Service Desks: EAC will not establish service desks inside the hall unless approved by Show Management.
  • Work Rules: Union rules and Regulations apply. EAC services shall not conflict, violate or jeopardize in any way the existing labor regulations, agreements, contracts or relations; or cause any interference with or inconvenience to the Sweets & Snacks Expo or any exhibitor.  
  • Wristbands: All EAC personnel must wear the wristband, provided by Show Management.
